Better connections

A small-group program for adolescents and young adults who want to build real, meaningful relationships in a way that feels true to who they are

Grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach, the program supports participants to understand social dynamics, express themselves and connect with others, without masking or scripted behaviours. Through interactive sessions and real-life practice, participants build skills in starting conversations, navigating friendships, managing social anxiety and solving real-world social situations. Caregivers are also supported to help carry these skills into everyday life. This program is a great fit for individuals who find social communication challenging and are keen to connect with others and build friendships, all within a safe, respectful and inclusive environment. Each session includes interactive discussions, guided practice, and real-life application tasks.

Teens and young people will build skills in:

  • Starting and maintaining conversations
  • Navigating friendships and group dynamics
  • Managing social anxiety and communication differences
  • Problem-solving real-world social situations
  • Building lasting relationships
