Our therapists work closely with individuals, families and carers to provide practical, achievable support that fits into everyday life.

We have extensive experience working with children of all ages and abilities, our OT team choose goals that are meaningful to each child’s development and find fun and engaging ways to help them achieve them.

Whether your child’s goals relate to home and school tasks or relationship and friendship building, our OTs take a team approach, involving everyone so an environment is created where all aspects of support are aligned.

Our team provides tailored support for people of all ages, including those with physical conditions, neurological conditions, disability, and age-related changes. Occupational therapy at Better Days may support you to:

  • Fine and gross motor skill development to improve balance, strength and functional movement
  • Sensory processing and visual-motor integration
  • Functional difficulties, including self-care skills and relearning everyday tasks such as washing, dressing and cooking
  • Moving safely around the home and use equipment and home adaptations safely and confidently
  • Reduce falls risk and avoid unnecessary long-term care
  • Planning and organisation skills

Re-ablement and dementia support

For people living with early-stage or low-level dementia, our occupational therapists focus on maintaining independence and quality of life for as long as possible. Our reablement services are delivered by HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists, supported by trained Therapy Assistants, working in line with local authority and NHS best practice.

For People with physical conditions support may include:

  • Relearn everyday tasks such as washing, dressing, cooking, and mobility
  • Improve balance, strength, and functional movement
  • Use equipment and adaptations safely and confidently
  • Reduce falls risk and avoid unnecessary long-term care
For those with low level dementia support may include:
  • Maintain existing skills and routines for as long as possible
  • Support memory, orientation, and problem-solving in daily tasks
  • Adapt environments to reduce confusion and increase safety
  • Support carers with practical strategies and education
All support is delivered with dignity, respect and a strong focus on what the individual can do in their own home.

We service greater London including, Lewisham, Merton and Croydon, Midlands and Birmingham. We also offer telehealth throughout the United Kingdom.

Our clinic is at 57 Putney Bridge Road, London, near the East Putney tube station and just a stone’s throw from Wandsworth Park and Putney train station. We’re open 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday.

What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy (OT) helps people become more independent in their daily tasks and improve their quality of life. Our OTs work with clients to develop skills needed for everyday activities.
We have clinicians experienced in supporting clients for a range of conditions and needs. This includes, neurological conditions, Spinal Cord Injuries, and sensory processing challenges. We also have allied health professionals who can provide paediatric OT support.

We offer our OT services in our south-west London clinic at 57 Putney Bridge Road, London, SW18 1NP, in homes and via telehealth. We aim to provide support in the most convenient setting for you.

An occupational therapist’s role is to foster independence in daily tasks and improve quality of life and participation of activities of choice. This might mean finding you the right equipment to make a task easier, or helping you find different approaches to completing something that is important to you with more independence. An occupational therapist will take their time learning about who you are and what is important to you- and then help you make those goals a reality.
Yes, we’re a multidisciplinary allied health provider, which means we can offer OT as part of an overall health plan. Our OTs work alongside other clinicians to provide comprehensive care.
