Maria is a dedicated and compassionate Senior Speech and Language Therapist at Better Days with extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. She is passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and effective communication skills through therapy that is engaging, encouraging and tailored to each individual.
With experience across private practice, specialist school settings, nurseries, schools and colleges, Maria has worked with children in a variety of learning environments. She builds strong relationships with families and education teams, creating personalised speech and language therapy plans that support meaningful progress and help children achieve their communication goals.
During her time in a specialist SEN school, she worked closely with teaching teams to embed communication strategies into everyday routines, helping children improve their interaction, understanding and participation in the classroom. This collaborative approach continues to shape her practice at Better Days, where she combines evidence-based therapy with practical, engaging strategies that support lasting progress.
Maria holds a Master of Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Essex and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Sociology from University College Dublin.
Outside of work, she enjoys music, keeping fit, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
Together, Maria and the Better Days team are helping children, young people and adults across Greater London achieve the communication goals that matter most to them.
