Meet Neroli | Better Days

Neroli is a Speech and Language Therapist at Better Days who has worked across education settings in Australia and the UK since qualifying in 2019. She has experience supporting children and young people across primary and secondary schools, as well as additionally resourced provision settings.

Neroli is passionate about helping children and young people participate fully in their learning and develop the communication skills that support relationships, emotional wellbeing and education. Her approach to speech and language therapy is functional, student-centred and neurodiversity-affirming, combining talk-based and play-based interventions, trauma-informed practice, child-led therapy and communication partner training.

She enjoys working closely with students to understand their strengths and perspectives, while collaborating with teachers and school staff to develop meaningful, functional goals. Neroli provides practical strategies that can be embedded into everyday school life, helping children and young people build confidence, self-awareness and achieve meaningful progress both in and beyond the classroom.

Her experience includes assessing and supporting children with a range of speech, language and communication needs within schools. She has developed and delivered individual and group therapy programmes, contributed to EHCP processes and annual reviews, completed needs assessments to support EHCP applications, and delivered curriculum-linked interventions. She has also provided whole-class co-teaching, staff training, advice clinics and comprehensive assessments to support curriculum access, language and literacy development. In Australia, she also gained experience supporting children and young people within the foster care system and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.

Neroli holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Queensland. She has completed additional training in Elklan Tutor, Selective Mutism, Shape Coding, Talking Mats, SEMH Assessment & Practice, Natural Language Acquisition, and Sounds-Write.

Outside of work, Neroli enjoys hiking, yoga and art.

Together, Neroli and the Better Days team are helping children, young people and adults across Greater London achieve the communication goals that matter most to them.
