Sinéad is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Better Days, supporting children to develop the skills needed for meaningful participation in home, school and community environments through individualised occupational therapy.
Her approach is child-centred and play-based, focusing on enhancing development, independence and engagement in everyday activities. Sinéad assesses and supports children with sensory, motor and developmental challenges across home, school and clinic settings, and works closely with families, educators and healthcare professionals to develop individualised therapy plans.
Sinéad implements evidence-based interventions to build functional skills, promoting children’s emotional regulation, motor development and school readiness.
Sinéad has experience supporting children and young people with autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation challenges and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). She is particularly passionate about helping children build emotional regulation, independence and everyday life skills, including dressing, toileting and handwriting, to increase confidence and participation across environments.
She implements evidence-based interventions to promote emotional regulation, motor development, school readiness and functional independence. Sinéad also has experience with work within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), giving her a holistic understanding of children’s physical, cognitive and emotional needs.
Before joining Better Days, Sinéad worked as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist at North Middlesex University Hospital, delivering functional and cognitive assessment and rehabilitation for older adults with complex medical needs, including frailty, falls and cognitive impairment. She also gained experience as a support worker for children, young people and adults with additional needs at the Muiriosa Foundation and Capability Scotland, providing person-centred support to promote independence, emotional regulation and community participation.
Sinéad is currently completing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (Pre-registration) at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
Outside of work, Sinéad enjoys running and reading.
Together, Sinéad and the Better Days team are helping children, young people and adults across Greater London achieve the developmental goals that matter most to them.
